it's been so long since i've been here, i don't even know how to do anything anymore...
anything i say right now seems trivial compared to what my guy is going through. thank you to all of you for your support to him. you all mean a lot to him.
it's been a weird year for me, feeling so unlike myself b/c of my foot injury and not having much enthusiasm for anything. i hope that has come to an end. my foot finally is starting to feel better and i am not vegging out on the couch every night with my foot up to reduce the swelling so i can work again the next day and not be in pain.
thank you to the few friends i still have here and still are wondering about me. you all rock!!
2007 is going to be a new year and i hope to be around more.
i'm reading the Tao of Pooh and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe right now. a little philosophy and a young adult fantasy book. it's a strange combination, but it's a good balance. i like to think about the tao philosophies a bit between each read and the young adult book is a nice positive break in between. pooh is my hero... life doesn't need to be so damned complicated... i have a tendency to make it that way.
i am interested in reading some "real" tao-ist books/readings after i finish with pooh. can anyone recommend a good one to start with?
Happy Hanakkuh!
Merry Christmas!!!!!!

I don't know if it counts as "real", but The Tao is Silent, by Raymond Smullyan, is a wonderful book.
