thank you, everyone, who had nice get well wishes for my mom. she passed her stress test and had her surgery. she is taking a bit longer than the average person to recover, but she seems much better. my stepdad has actually been helpful to her (which i am kind of surprised about) and has gone and gotten her food that she can eat without chewing (soups, mashed potatoes that are made really watery, and baby food). it's weird. i like to think that my parents will be around forever, but her having surgery has kind of made me think about how sad it would be if she wasn't here. i don't talk to her everyday or anything, and sometimes i go 6 months without seeing her, but she's my mom...

so, anyone else out there have foot pain? my foot feels like shit. the doctor says it may be the starts of arthritic joints which inflame and then affect how i step, which in turn makes me walk funny and then hurts my shin, my knee, my hip, my back, etc. it sucks! so, hopefully my primary care phys. will listen to the specialist and i can get new orthotics.

on a lighter note, the current dvd tv series of choice in our household is Sopranos season 4. super fun! it's cool to see steve bescheme in this season. it was a holiday season purchase. we're always a season or 2 behind. i like getting to watch as many episodes in a row as we want. we watch Alias episodes and Buffy episodes the same way. speaking of buffy, i love the early Angel before he got beefy...
