Holy shit I'm so fucking lazy, and I'm enjoying it so much
. I'll start looking for a real job eventually
.
So I finally have the pictures from my trip you can go here to see them.
I had so much fun on my trip, while I was in London for the two weeks did so much. For the first 4 days my cousin and I stayed in a hostel in Picadilly Circus, I had never stayed in one before so I didn't know what to expect and it wasn't excatly the nicest place but the people there were great and I eventually got used to it. After that my cousin and I split up and I went and stayed at my great Aunt's place where my mom and my aunt were staying.
After that I went on a couple of day trips outside of London, first to Brighton which is a small sea side town it was a nice place it to bad that it was really cold and foggy that day , but saw everything there was to see. The Next trip was to a town called Arundal where we saw their castle, and the final day trip was to Blenhiem Palace which is outside of Oxford.
I did some shopping on Carnaby Street, Oxford Street, Covent Gardens, in and around Picadilly Circus, and in my favorite area Camden Town. I went to Camden Town twice and both times spent about 4 hours, the market on Sunday is awesome. I didn't end up buy alot but really enjoyed those areas of London.
I went to the theatre twice I saw the Blue Man Group and The Producers, both very different but were fun and really entertaining.
I went to two concerts first was Me First and the Gimme Gimmes with the Sainte Catherines and Capdown I was probably the best concert that I been to this year, they all played amazingly well and I had sooo much fun. The other concert was Anti Flag with The Useen, Wilhelm Scream, and The Down and Outs. Both were at the Astoria which is such a cool place.
I also went to two museums The Science Museum and the Museum of Natural History, there was so much to see and do at both of them and the best part was that they were free to get into.
From London I went by plane to Budapest with both my mom and my aunt. It took about 2 hours to fly there and was cheap, flying around within Europe is actually really cheap. While in Budapest we went on a city tour where we saw both the Buda and Pest sides of the city which is seperated by a river called the Danube. We did alot of walking around the city and saw the Opera House, there Parliment, and the Vaci Uta which is the main shopping area which leads to their market.
Budapest has alot of spas within the city all with these large mineral baths witch are suppose to be healing. So we spent part of a day at a spa where we went to the minreal baths and all got massages.
Unfortuntaley this was around the time that I got a really bad cold (which I still have that won't go away
) and ended up staying in bed for a day, but I pumped myself full of cold medication and was able go out after that. We spent 4 days there but probably could have used a couple extra days to really see everything.
From Budapest we took the train to Prague, which took about 6 hours and went through Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Prague is such a beautiful and colorful city where every building is styled different and no two are ever the same.
We went to Prague Castle which was really close to where we staying and spent a day there and in the surrounding area. We also walked along the Charles Bridge which is a large pedestrain bridge where many street merchants and leads into the old town part of Prague, into the main square.
We also went on another bus tour which went through both the old and new town parts of Prague, then from there we went on a dinner cruise along the river (I can't remember what it's called but my aunt kept calling it the vulva) which was about 2 and half hours and I thought was really boring, I actually don't recommend anyone ever doing it. So we spent 4 days there which was plenty of time, you probably can see everything there even if you are only staying a couple of days.
That was where my journey came to an end, from Prague we flew back to London and then back to Calgary from there.
I'm so happy that I took this trip, I'm already thinking of where I want to go next and if you read through to end thank you, because god this was a long entry.
