things to be happy about:

1. i got a second job with has slightly reasonable pay, good hours, about 0 responsibility and time to read and knit. i'll be a receptionist part time at the studio where i dance, also they said i can take my ballet classes while i'm "working" as long as i bring the phone with me and answer calls.

2. the chair of a very well known political science department had agreed to write me a recommendation for grad school, as well as a fairly famous person in my field. w00t.

3. it is finally sunny and warm in ny, i have a "tan." i use quotations because my tan resembles a normal person's skintone. the pool is open and will be warm enough by this weekend.


things to be sad about:

1. it looks like my cross country trip has fallen through thanks to cassie starting classes WAY too early this summer. Boo. i'm still going to new orleans for a week i think.. maybe. who knows.

2. for some reason i feel the need to contasntly stuff my face. i think my stomach is possessed by the ghost of a tape worm. as a result i feel lumpy and have gained far too much weight to feel comfortable with.

in summation: pirates are cool
