Been here since October, and it's not so bad! London doesn't exactly bowl you over with its beauty, as you may already know...but it really grows on you. SO much to see and do in this place.

Though, if it's escape you need, it's hard to get further away from it all than Australia, and hey -- sun and beach do NO harm. wink

Good luck...

Nice. And fried dough rocks. I can only get it at county fairs out here. Native Californians don't understand. But what do they know, they put avocados on everything.

i'm pretty sure sg can't do that for you. you would have to use photoshop or something like that to resize them first and then post them.

but i could be wrong.

Hmmmm... I'm from Mass... Actually Cape Cod and then Boston... Hmmmm, but now I live in PDX. I'm not sure which Coast I like more... Portland is a hell of a lot better then Boston though- well, at least I think so- Boston is a real city where as Portland is candyland. But, I like living in candyland! biggrin

That menu is super out of date... He gets all of his supply from local farmers, ranchers, fishermen, etc. So his menu changes all the time. I think the only thing he always always has on the menu is the Maryland crabcakes.

Oh, and you know, I haven't met that many fat pastry people. It's pretty easy to get burned out on sweet food. It seems that more often then not the guys that gain weight are the ones working on the line or the Exec Chefs. The guys on the line and the big shot usually know better than to eat crap food, but either don't have the time to make good food, or are just too burned out on cooking that they don't wanna make it. Crap! Look at me. I can go in and make 60 crabcakes and then rock out hazelnut chicken fricasee with neuscees bacon and fingerling potatoes all night- but when I get home I make pasta with tomato cream sauce... or I eat a can of soup with a grilled cheese... *sigh*

Congrats on the grades... I just finished with school (except for my internship which starts moonday). 4.0 all the way, and I only missed one day... Oh, Yeah! And, so enough with the bragging- I had to get that out of my stystem (It's the only thing in my lif I have actually done right)

Anyway, it's nice to meet you- in this sort of artificial and superflous internet semi-porn, semi-pop culture, semi-friendsteresque web-land.
