NY PRESS


is there anyone in NY who can get their hands on the current copy of the NY press? i understand they are using some of my photos on the cover without credit or permission and would like to get my hands on a copy or scans/photos of copies.

While I really hope you can work something out with the NY Press editors, this thread is just another example of how 'tards on SG need to have an opinion on pretty much everything, even if it's something they know nothing about.

It's difficult to sue print publications, and the actual cash value of the photos isn't likely to make it worth a lawsuit, even if there were legal grounds to sue. And since NY Press is technically a news publication, it would be enormously difficult to prove damage or that the mag benefitted in any way financially by running the photos. That said, the right lawyer may have a different opinion.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
