Purple and yellow are complementary colors.... Unless, of course, they are on your leg. Then they just kinda blend and mesh into ugly splotches that hurt when you touch them.
The game on Saturday was AMAZING, and I really have to give it up to the Iron Curtain. Those girls play with more heart than any other team I've played against, and they give it their all until the last possible moment. Even though we won the game, IC really pulled it together and were victorious in their own way. We offered them donuts, and they took our victory lap with us. It was an awesome ending to a fantastic game.
Highlights? I scored 22 points total. My first jam I had 10, second jam I got nothing but knocked around (Knuckles slid into my face after an awesome takeout, and Karla gave me the best block of her life into the audience. It was amazing. My third jam of the night only lasted 45 seconds, but I scored 7 points. I had some great blocks, including a couple take outs of my own on both the opposing blockers and jammers. At the end of the third period, Karla and I got into a brutal all out knockaround fight, where she ended up punching me in the face and giving me a fat lip. It looked hot
Right after the fight I hauled ass into the penalty box to serve my time (since I started the fight) and then found out I had to jam right afterward. Jeez. But, I ended up scoring another 5 points, mostly because it was the end of the game and blockers were fighting left and right, so I just kept skating and scored points on everyone.
I'm getting my new camera hopefully by the end of the week. Jay is looking into buying me a nice Nikon D50. I got to hold one today, and it fit perfectly. I'm watching quite a few auctions on EBay for lights and stuff, so we'll see what happens there. I'm super antsy and anxious to get my camera so I can start playing with it and learning about it. I will be able to carry it around with me, unlike the one Jay has that I am always afraid of messing up since it belongs to him. eep! I love getting excited about things. More excitement to come, I promise
I am officially dying for a chimi.

I'm sorry I missed the game. My son was sick. Hopefully I can make it to the next one.
