so my birthday was pretty good. won $500 at the casino with my mom which was good, but then i went to a party and it was really bad. it was only 1:00am, and my friend looked at me and said, "are you still drinking?". when that happens, you know you should've partied somewhere else.

I don't do the casino thing because I can go overboard and I never win my money back and then I get mad when I'm broke and I could have bought good things with the money, like more DVD's or computer equipment or anything.
is the still drinking thing bad in that you were still drinking, or bad in that it meant the party sucked. When I do go out to drink, 1:00 AM is still early. I usually stop drinking because of last call, and by that point, I've probably had too much to drink.
It's got to be even rougher for you with the piercings and tattoos. My real dad would have no problem with it, well, he might, but he'd accept it. Filipinos can't understand and you know what happens when they get an idea stuck in their head.
That's totally what happens at the gatherings here too, hence why barely any white/non Filipinos even bother to show up. All the wives are too busy gossiping in their languages and can't bother to include the non-English speakers usually. That's why I avoid my mom and stepdad and can't have conversations with them, because unless they specifically include me or are talking to me, I'm left out.
