Fourth of July Rules!!!
I had so much fun!
Left my apartment around noon and was in San Diego by 1:20 or so. Incredible for a holiday- there was absolutely zero traffic!
Chilled at friend's condo, eating chips and homemade salsa for a few minutes before heading off to party numero one.
Drank a few beers down, did a round of shots with my new friends, and ate some delicious gourmet homemade hamburgers, guacamole dip, cake, and kabobs. Sooo deliciously yum to the max!
After that, headed back over to the first place, where my friend's fam had just finished making lunch for everyone. Feasted on ribs, homemade potato salad, fresh oysters with lime and hot sauce, rice, and a few beers before we all watched an hour or so of Jaws to help the food settle. Love that film by the way. It may have been made in the 70's, but it is still one of the greatest ever made.
Packed into a van, and we drove down to Ocean Beach to try and find a spot on the sand and await the fireworks.
Fireworks were awesome! I've never been to OB to see them, so it was pretty cool watching them all with a ton of other people, most of them drunk
As soon as the show was over though, there was a huge marshmallow fight!! It was so much fun! People were running around like crazy pummeling each other with marshmallows, grabbing handfuls and throwing them in the air, sneaking around and surprising who thought they were on the same side It was every man, woman, child for themselves in the war! 
Finally we made our way back to the van for a quick round of more food and a beer before turning in. I left around midnight and made it back safely by 1:30 or so, so pretty much 12 hours on the dot.
So fun! Hope to do it all again next year
