VDH has an astute article that basically says the more dependent a nation is on the US for their national defense, the less likely that nation will be anti-American, and vice-versa.

I was just offering my opinions and summations based on what I've learned in my life time. It's no reason to get bent out of shape over it. You're going to meet people with varying political views, it doesnt make them wrong. It doesnt make you wrong. People are often going to have different opinions on a lot of things; I keep my mind open and evaluate each position before taking a stance on an issue. Even the ancient Samurai texts taught them to learn as much as they could about any given situation, place, custom, or opponent. As someone who is planning on being a teacher I figured you would be open to the free exchange of ideas.

James Carvell once said that politics is a really stupid thing to let get in the way of relationships. I used to think you were really cool.

Also, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't leave abusive comments in my journal anymore.
