It's hard to say, because the staff who makes the ultimate and final decisions is pretty quirky. I've seen Hopefuls go pink with as few as 800 comments, while other Hopefuls get passed over with 1,400 or 1,500 comments and those being passed over far out number those that make it. Obviously, there is some kind of inside clique in the SG staff that shows a partisanship to Hopefuls who are photographed by certain staff photogs, So, if you're serious about this, my best suggestion would be to research the full SG's and see who taking their pictures. I'm sure you'll see a pattern of those who go Pink correlating to certain photographers. Also, there is a very real preference to Red Heads, so it would be worth your time to go red and get get it done professionally including eyebrows and pubes, if you have them, which you should because real redheads on this site always have a few pubes to validate their red doesn't come out of a bottle.
