my little cousin found a grounded nursing bat outside earlier today. we have tried calling the vet and a wildlife refuge and we aren't gettting any info on how we shoudl care for her. if there was a refuge close enough i would find a way to get her there but the closest one is at least an hour away and i don't know who i could call who would drive me an hour away. we put her in a box with airholes and fruit and a capfull of water. she has four babies attached to her and i'm guessing that she just couldnt bare the weight so i'm hoping that we can take care of her until the babies are ready to be on their own. if we left her outside she would have been done for for sure. i dont really know what else to do. we put her up in a quiet place and i have been checking on her every fifteen mintues or so... anyone have any ideas?

It's great having people willing to help you in this situations.
Tell the little bats to get well from me, please.
See ya.
I can only assume that you have your Batgirl outfit designed and are ready for action .
