I find myself almost unreasonably entertained reading old magazines. Tonight's reading is the October 5th, 1989 issue of Rolling Stone with Fine Young Cannibals on the cover. It also has an article about the 15th (!) anniversary of SNL, a review of "Sea Of Love" (Al Pacino flick), and articles on Tom Petty's summer tour, the anti-abortion movement, and Tracy Chapman's new album. Good times.

I am going to see Lou Reed in December. It's at an unfamiliar place (which I don't handle well) but I am willing to make the sacrifice.

Today is the last day of the last full month of my thirties. I confess not being super-thrilled that in a bit more than three weeks I will be hitting forty. I know age is a number and it doesn't need to/shouldn't define me, but I still am not digging the concept.

I am going to see "The Master" (Paul Thomas Anderson's newest) in NYC tomorrow (70MM as it is intended to be seen!)
