Saw Burt Bacharach this evening. The man is more than twice my age! You forget just how many massive songs that he wrote until you hear them performed in concert, songs like The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do), What's New Pussycat and so forth. Probably not that many people know this but he wrote There's Always Something There To Remind Me. Very happy I got to see him. He is both a hipster Icon as well as one of the keystones of the Music Snob Movement (though he himself is not a Music Snob). If you have the chance, I would say definitely go see him!
