Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is the best movie I have seen this summer. Intelligent, thought-provoking entertainment with good characters who actually have understandable motivations (even, in fact, especially, the Apes). Lots of fun, don't be afraid. It's smart but there's still scenes of chimpanzees riding horses whilst shooting machine guns (heretofore only seen in dreams dreamt after eating pumpkin seeds). Andy Serkis is listed first in the credits and deserved to be. He probably won't, but he should get award recognition for this when that season rolls around. Go see this. Skip 3D (I saw it in 2D and nothing would be gained by extra dimension). Plus, one of the great final shots of a movie I can remember.
