Tim Burton's Dark Shadows was very enjoyable (I never saw the TV show). Warner Brothers made three key mistakes in its release. 1-It should have been released in October (inherently it wasn't a summer flick). 2-They shouldn't have sold it as a wacky comedy (it's funny but not silly). 3-It should have been rated R (it feels toned down inorganically to be PG-13). Well worth seeing, a shame it wasn't more of a hit, as a sequel would have worked.
