RIP Heath...

I am stunned when anybody young dies (especially younger than me). The obvious answer has to be that he died of drugs, which is tragic and stupid and avoidable and all that. What's sad is that it is already decided that is what it definitely was (and truth be told that was my first thought when I heard). It doesn't make it any less tragic if it was a drug overdose or cancer or any other means. What is tragic is his child is going to grow up without a father. This is obvious stuff I am writing, I know. From a selfish standpoint, we lost a great actor who was probably going to go on to have a legendary career. Or not. We'll never know.

The worst part is the industry that is going to come from this. Magazines and tabloid television is going to have a field day, especially since Heath Ledger was an A-Lister and poor Brad Renfo was not. Two actors, same basic age and cause of death (possibly), but one is going to be on the covers and one is not. Why? Because Heath Ledger's death will sell more magazines.

In any case this is very very sad news indeed. T
