Just saw Cloverfield. It lived up to the "hype" as they say. It was nice to see a horror movie that wasn't making constant ironic reminders that it's only a movie, or "paying homage" (stealing) to other horror movies. Plus, nobody gets tied to a chair and threatened with a drill (which passes for horror movies lately--although the last few have tanked so hopefully we're just about done with that). It was a genuinely scary, upsetting movie. Well worth seeing.
