Version II


Seizure

The lights, they kind of distract me
from the constant motion;
blinking in my eyes like stroboscopic effects
that send rapid fire signals
to my brain. Eyes pupils dilating and retracting
in fractional second movements,
as the penance of seizures come on
and wreck the computer of the body.

Crash, a virus in the machine.
Places, faces, names forget the time that they were
acquired; no log to list the chronology of events
in the mind of an empty nest...

(we'll all be okay in the end...)

...of birds, in steady lingo, the words, they harness
a ravage desire to overtake all
prowess that's been undertaken by
fools, madness.

Resign the job you've
taken. It's craziness, this has-been logic
encircling like a shark.
Smells blood in the water
and sinking in deep currents, floating away from shore,
no longer seeing the lights that
were my way home
and never to be seen again...

Seizures, an anomolous effort of the
brain to purge excess electricity from (my mind)
the brain...

Send me home, distant malfunctioner.
Send me home to peace and quiet, let the dogs shed their hair
and snakes, their skin as we roll in the mud
like pigs,
with electricity in the brain...
