Its a crazy, beautiful place. And traveling with one's family without fixed plans for 3 weeks is very, very stressful. Its good to be back, and back on a regular schedule.
And oh what a schedule I have, these next few weeks.
Three weeks from now is one of the American Chemical Society's national meetings, this one up in San Franicsco, where I'll be presenting the work I've done over the last year. As such, I've plenty of work ahead of me to nail some key results that'll go into this poster, as well as shop for a post-doc amongst all the famous professors; busy busy busy me.
But I like twisting purpose with something altogether different; on the Sunday before the conference there is a half-ironman distance triathlon in Santa Cruz that I've entered (Big Kahuna Tri). A 1.2 mile ocean swim, 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run. So I've some training to do these next few weeks as well.
Trying to fit all this in, and make that elusive cassoulet? Sounds like an apertif is in order.
