Well then, that was fun.
No better way to spend a couple weeks than preparing for an advancement to candidacy exam.
I passed, and oooooohhh, its sooo good to get back to work. Its frustrating compiling the last 9 months work and a proposal, getting all excited about the work you're planning to do. Except you can't do it.
So the exam went well enough. Had a last minute laptop freakout that fixed itself in the last second.
And now, its back to my regularly scheduled life:
Sun. June 25th: San Diego International triathlon
Sun. Sept. 10th: Big Kahuna triathlon (half-Ironman distance), in Santa Cruz
Sun. Oct. 1st: Mission Bay Sprint triathlon
Sun. Oct. 15th: Long Beach City marathon
Plus I gotta finish my current synthesis before the ACS national meeting in Sept.
