This is my new roommate, Homes.



I learned last night that Homes is a boy, and not a girl, as I had originally thought. He made a bubble nest. Yes, among betta fish the nest building duties fall upon the boys.

Besides being worlds tidier than the last person to stay at my house, Homes is cool as fuck. I never knew a little fish could have so much personality! But he's totally savage. He moves the marbles at the bottom of the bowl around to suit himself! Whenever I come home, he does this little fishy dance to say hi, and I catch him watching me all the time while I'm doing stuff around the house. He is definitely a sentient creature. And my buddy.

I had such a good birthday last week! I find as I get older, I care less and less about my birthday. Like I used to milk that shit for a month; now I don't even try to throw myself a party. But I did stretch it out for a good week this year. What can I say, people kept wanting to buy me breakfast! Old friends, new friends, makes me feel happy and blessed.

I have crushes on two of those people right now....tee hee hee. One has strong intellect, and a sick sense of humor like me; the other, well, he's really good to his mama....that's important. If you're trying to get married anyway.

So my last set has slowly been creeping up in the "I loved it" rankings and is currently the 6th most loved MR set from the last 30 days! Could it be the one? It's still not too late to make pinkness my birthday present!!!!!!! Just puttin' that out there.
