I live.
Sorry I haven't posted in forever. Work and school have taken over my life. Should I be ashamed to confess I'd forgotten I'd even had an SG account?
On the positive side of things, my culinary skills have greatly improved. I'm working at an awesome restaurant on Russian Hill. Indeed, last night the chef gave me an 8lb bucket of duck fat and all the duck legs I could carry out. Right now the legs are sitting in my fridge, waiting to be turned into confit sometime this week. I'll let you all know how it goes.
My third semester of culinary school is coming to an end. I'm realizing that culinary school isn't really that great, except for the awesome friends I've met. My chef, who spend $30,000 to attend the CCA 10 years ago, has a very dim view of culinary school. His advice is to take the money one would spend at school and use it to go to Europe, and work for free at a good restaurant there. You'll definitely get more for your money.
In fact, I think I'm going to do that. Hopefully next summer I'll have saved up enough cash to spend a year in Europe. Of course, my plans could easily turn into playing videogames and working part time. Just gotta keep my eyes on the prize.
So how are you all doing?

Do you go to CCA? I had a friend who went there. She was a total bitch though. Her name was Erica.
She did say it was a lot of wasted time/money.

I hate that they keep showing reruns when we haven't even gotten through a whole flipin season! I almost stopped watching because of that.
