Home again. I got back into Denver around nine last night, and realized my phone was not in my bag. Irritating. I was in Virginia for my mom's wedding, and my friend's birthday party/riot. The wedding was awesome...a perfect day outside in the botanical gardens in Richmond.
It struck me, as the wedding was concluding, that I now have all this new family. The funny part is, my new sister is a girl I dated in highschool. We got our parents together six years ago, and proceeded to make jokes about we would someday be siblings.
The party was out of control. We estimated roughly 150 people in and out of there until sunrise. The place was still clean at the end. Then, around six or so my friend Ryan from Darkest Hour came crashing through the back door and face-planted on the kitchen floor. He and my sister managed to tear the house apart in short order...a whole night's damage in an hour. That was the highlight of the whole thing. The only time I get to hang with that guy is when they're in Denver on tour.
I've been listening to the Roots- Things Fall Apart all day. I forgot how fucking good that album is. Did everyone vote?

sounds like a good time though. i voted, of course. didn't get kerry in, but every initiative i voted on turned out okay. that feels productive!
