Since I live in Italy, in one of the most hit regions by covid-19, my quarantine started at the ending of february, exactly from my birthday, on february the 27th, when I had also a hospital surgery: quite a weird birthday! I made a brain movie where we were on Scrubs.

It may seem a terrible birthday but I took it as a blessing: I had to do that surgery and I'm very grateful to the doctors and nurses who were incredibly kind to me wishing me happy birthday and helping me even in a dark time like this. So I took these last weeks as a time to recover and to try finding peace with myself.

I spent most of this time studying for University and improving skills like marketing, social media management and programming thanks to online courses by Google (free ones, link here!), tidying up my room (it's still a mess), cooking - my battle horse is Tiramisù, a traditional italian dessert made of mascarpone cream and espresso (when you'll try it, you'll scream for pleasure here's I found a recipe written in english) - playing Skyrim on Playstation, making looooong telephone calls with friends and, last but not least, doing yoga!
Indeed, I recently discovered the power of meditation and yoga and the extraordinary feeling after some well done stretching. For well done I do not mean Circus stuff, I have a flexible back but my legs are not as elastic as I want them, but a good relaxing workout obtained with a combination of slow controlled moves and respiration.
I did a pair of years of artistics gymnastic when I was a child but I totally lost this amazing healing power: I'm impatient and often hyperactive so it's veeeery difficult to me to slow down and do meditation, but I'm TOTALLY sure it's a way to relax and clean our mind especially in a time like this.
It doesn't matter what you're doing #stayingathome, but it's fundamental doing something for you that makes you feel good.
