so, i just got home from a great jazz performance at my school! i'm all buzzed
...aahh
...there's an electrical outlet right by my head and it just started crackling and sparking and shit! that was scary...
anyways, so i'm taking this history and appreciation of jazz class right now and it's pretty good. i was inspired to take it because my brother is a really amazing jazz drummer (he got his BM from berklee college of music in boston, if that means anything to anyone) and he got me started liking jazz. the only let down is that a lot of people in my class took the class cause they thought it was gonna be easy (it fulfills an upper division g.e.). well, it's not easy and some people in the class are really openly negative about all the music...like we were listening to monk the other night and this girl, who's always complaining, was like "why does anyone listen to this!? how did this guy get famous?!" ahhhh! why would someone take a class on jazz if they are totally uninterested in broadening their musical knowledge or even listening to jazz! some people just really need to be spoon fed their culture, i guess.
oh...i warped my loom today, too ( ;
