Do you ever realize just how small this world is?
I mean, you go on through your life living it, and dancing, and eating, and smiling, and loving, and hating, and all of a sudden, something you used to love/hate/cherish/wonder about pops back into your life.
Fuck 1's and 0's- life isn't binary, it's an 'O' as in the orgasmic type. At least if you're living it right.
So you meet people in your life that come and go.. as the old saying "People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime"
I think that saying is so wrong.
You're bound by every step you take, and also bound to run back into someone you used to know, or something you used to do.
But who says you can't break boundaries?
So I've always loved Kate Bush. She's my pre-Tori Amos-spasmic-pianist with a heart of glass and grey mold all rolled into one sexxy but angry female..
And the other evening, I meet an english man who is her good friend..
Days later, I run into a guy I met nearly 2 years ago at a party. He had beautiful eyes, a big ego, and a horrible cigarette habit.
I taunted him then, and I did the other night.
At the time (years ago) I wanted him.
This time I looked at him with sorrow.. that he's still trying that whole "I'm a pretty but bad boy" routine, and still hasn't found anyone.
Sad.
Anyways- everyone.. yes, a butterfly can flap its wings, or die, and it will affect a storm miles away... but take that concept on a more faith-based journey and all of a sudden you have beauty that does not last, but can change your life forever.
If we could all just learn to remember that, maybe we'd be better people.
Or prettier.

don't you love it when you can look back on a past love, and think what the fuck was i thinking...and you feel the satisfaction of being okay without...loves loves

Happens all the time, and I think, to be honest, that the coincidences accelerate with awareness. If that beauty lasted, I don't think it would change our lives the same way-the transitory nature of it is a part of its power. Driving out of the mountains above Durango into a sunset, Sigur Ros on the changer, snow and pines and a Max Parrish glow on the mountains. If it lasted, it wouldn't have made nearly the impression.
