Summer has finally arrived in San Francisco. Last night I slept with the window open for the first time this year. And I say to you, "It suits me fine." I used to fantasize about living in Iceland or Scandinavia, and as much as I feel attracted to the culture and natural environment of those Nordic lands, I've got to admit I'd much rather be...

Last night I went to the club where I supposedly had my name on the guest list to see Sunn O))) and came to find that my name was not on the list. Yeah, that's right, I won these tickets on the radio and the DJ at KPFA took my name down over the phone, but whoever at the station had the responsibility of taking...

What kind of music do you play?
Well, my return to Facebook wasn't all goofing around and wasting time. I sent out a note about trying to find advice or leads in my job search to almost 150 of my SF Bay Area FB friends. Maybe one of them will have something helpful to offer or suggest.
I had vivid dreams last night about going to see Sunn O))), meeting some of...

Friday morning. Feeling kind of blue, kind of blah (that'd be a good title for a smooth jazz album, I think)...
Yesterday I reopened my Facebook page, and wasted a whole lot of time goofing off on that site. I suppose I will be doing more of the same today...

My mood improved dramatically today. I got my UI benefit check in the mail. I received a package from Soleilmoon of a Boyd Rice book I'd ordered (they somehow lost my order for the 6 Comm CD I placed at the same time, so I had to call them and reorder it). I...

There was a snafu yesterday (predictably) a the pharmacy when I went to pick up my hormones. The refill I phoned in for spironolactone was ready, but the doctor's faxed-in prescription for estradiol was nowhere to be found. The doctor faxed it to the wrong pharmacy. She corrected her mistake. I'm going to go pick up the medication today. I am going to have a...

Slept okay last night but woke up at 4:00 am and didn't get back to sleep for at least a couple hours.
Yesterday I went to therapy and he signed the papers for me to get extended for my authorization to use a disabled transit pass for another year (saves me a lot of money per month riding Muni). Decided against going to Death Guild...

Good move with nuking the Facebook account, whether it's temporary or long-lasting. You were able to see that it was costing you, and take the steps to get the nuisance away -- the same process you take with any addiction!
Sounds like you're also planning your time, scheduling things to do and keeping those schedules; whether it's excruciatingly mundane necessities or you have the luxury of planning entertainment, you seem to be keeping yourself moving if not truly "busy." Good on ya!
I look forward to seeing your upcoming posts here -- and who knows, maybe I'll finally get off my lazy duff and post about my life?

For what it's worth, today is Day 22 on the Premarin 2.5mg daily, and Day 8 on spironolactone 100mg daily. Tomorrow I see my prescribing doctor at Tom Waddell trans clinic and will ask to switch from Premarin to estradiol and to increase the dosages on estrogen and t-blocker.

Around 9:00 pm I'm in bed with the lights out talking on the phone with a friend, venting my woes and anxieties, and I hear the rat scrambling around inside the wall heater. I continue the conversation, then in about ten minutes I hear a big commotion in the kitchen. The rat got stuck on the glue...
