The Cymbalta is definitely working to lift my mood dramatically these past couple days. I am feeling really upbeat. Except just within the past few minutes I felt a slump and am now feeling more depressed. The reason is that I haven't slept more than four hours a night for the past two nights, due to being kept awake by the med. I am going to go lie down and see if I can get a nap in after I type this entry and before I go to the TG support group this afternoon.
The big news is I went to the TG clinic last night and got my prescription, which I will go pick up today. I'm starting on Premarin (the natural formula of estrogen supplement, oral form, which my city health plan covers, unbelievably, it's much more expensive than the synthetic formula) and the testosterone-blocker spironolactone. I'm gonna stop the Cymbalta this weekend and start the hormones on Monday. This is going to be interesting!...
