I've been working on this poster for over two weeks. That's an eternity for me to spend on something. THere are about 9 variations to it but luckily they chose the one I like the best (which rarely happens). I have to print 500 of these this weekend. THat will be a new record. THank god I have the press. Now I just need to wrangle some helpers.
IN other poster related news, I was the 'visiting artist' for an Art Academy screen-printing class yesterday. I was totally zonked out on Tylenol cold medicine but it went pretty well. I was introduced by my real name, which I don't use for making posters -- about 15 minutes into my talk this kid interrupts by saying "holy shit, you're lil tuffy!" Hello, ego boost! After that outburst of recognition/approval, the students seemed much more interested and talkative. All in all, it was pretty cool. Watching these kids eyes widen when I told them I print about 100 posters in 25 minutes was pretty awesome. They usually print 10 posters tops.
What else can I tell you? I talked to a doctor and I apparently have bronchitis and was told to get some rest or I won't get better. So it looks like I won't be getting better anytime soon because I'm swampd with work and moving and crap.
Umm... I dunno what else. I suddenly have things that I need dates for and that's weird. Like a cruise on the bay and some other shit. One of my clients is having a huge party shin dig and part of that experience is a retrospective of my work. Pretty cool.
Trying to figure out the summer travel schedule... I guess next stop is Tennessee. Maybe if I'm really lucky I can sneak in NY before or after that. Chicago in July. Then hopefully North Carolina and then NY again. Prolly a trip to PDX again soon too and hopefully Europe in the fall again.
I can't wait for Prom to be done.
Also, I want to go rafting/canoeing soon.
