My birthday is Sunday! Tomorrow we go to the Natural History Museum to see the giant elephant. smile That's our family oriented thing to do with the boys. Then we're dropping them off with my parents, and I get to do whatever I want. I'm playing princess for the day. So...hmmm..what should I subject my husband to? Apparently, he has a few surprises up his sleeve for me. He keeps telling me that Sunday is going to be VERY special. All I have asked for for Sunday is that he clean up the kids' rooms. biggrin I'm pretty simple. That evening, we're going to dinner. I don't even know where yet.

I did convince my friends to celebrate with me next weekend, so we are planning to have a Game Night to celebrate both mine and my best friend's bday which falls on the 19th. I straight-up told them, I'm sick of you forgetting my birthday. I shouldn't have to announce it starting a fucking month in advance. I remember all of your birthdays, and I want to be the center of attention for once dammit. (Okay, I was a lot nicer than that, but I still made my point. biggrin) I have only had one birthday that went perfectly...my 21st. I'm not sure what was so special about it. I guess it was the fact that I got to spend it with some very important people in my lives (my best friend and someone who I was falling hard for at the time, a former member of this site actually). Additionally, I did what I wanted even though that was simply shop and eat out at one of my favorite Irish restaurants (Ireland's Four Provinces). Yeah, I think a lot of it had to do with my romantic interest...how cool is it to have someone buy you gorgeous lilies and spend the evening reading you poetry before dinner? So simple yet so effective. Ahhh...there was magic. But the past is the past and that was just about one of the only good moments we had, considering all of the other fucked up factors like lying and emotional instability (on both parts) and one of us being taken and I could go on and on and on and on.

Okay, I completely went off on a tangent there. Ummm...I will update everyone with how my birthday went on Monday. Tuesday my membership expires, and I'm not going to renew this year. After two years, I figured that if I were going to make friends that were going to last, I would have. I'm definitely not the type of person that goes out all the time, so I know that that doesn't help my chances of meeting people. biggrin I will say my farewells in a couple of days. Have a great weekend everyone!!
