So I've been unemployed for the last week or so and it's kind of boring really. Been sitting around playing video games and drinking beer, but it's getting old. Took in a bunch of old games I didn't really play any more though and reserved the new Star Wars: Force Unleashed game that looks sweet as hell. 
Plus I got 20% more on my trade in when I reserved that game. I played the demo on xbox live and it was fun as hell to force push people off high up places or tossing a Tie fighter at a group of troops. I also picked up Forza 2 as well. I didn't like it at all at first, but once I got the handle on the controls I've been doing ok at it. I'm only playing on novice right now till I get better.
I had plans for a date Saturday night. I went out and bought some pork chops, potatoes, and stuff to make a mushroom gravy. I browned the chops then made the gravy and slow cooked the chops in the gravy. They turned out so tender. The potatoes I added some sour cream, chives and fresh garlic. GOD they turned out good. Well the long and short of it was I got stood up. I didn't even get a phone call. 
I tried calling her and just got her voice mail. She sent me a message via myspace and all it said was "sorry I missed your call". I mean WTF!!! 
I wouldn't even be a bit bummed out if I had just gotten a call saying she couldn't make it. I spent money I don't have a lot of to cook her dinner. Oh well! I'm probably better off.
I did get a good pick me up today. I got a call back for that state job I applied for the other week. They want me to come in for an interview on Tuesday at 1pm. I so stoked. I filed for unemployment, but I don't like hand outs. I like to earn what I get. I hope I nail the interview tomorrow though so I don't have to claim any unemployment. I'll update tomorrow after the interview.

Update!!! Had my job interview today and I think I nailed it. After the interview they told me they'd get back to me this next week about wether I got the job or not. So heres hoping.
