So I'm an uncle now. My niece is SUPER cute. Her name is Norah Jaymes and she looks just like my sister thank god. Since my sister is still on leave from work she's been coming over in the morning with my niece and I get to see her. The other day when she came over I was playing Rock Band and singing along while playing the guitar and norah just started giggling and smiling. Most likely because I can't sing that well. She is such a joy in my life right now. I wasn't sure how I was going to react to her once she had been born because I can't stand her father. Seeing her brightens up my day when my sis brings her over.

On the job front my last day is next Thursday night and I can't wait to be done with that place (Nationwide Ins). Since I only have a few days left I'm not trying to work too hard. Just don't see the point in stressing about a job that I won't have in less than a week. I do have a ray of hope for a new job though. My mother who works for the state of Iowa and has for 30 plus years sent me an email with a link to a job in the states printing department. I filled it out that day and got an email back a day later saying that I had made it through the first screening process. I want this job so bad. It pays better and has WAY batter beni's than my current job. I just have to wait and see.

I also got to see Flogging Molly this week. They were fucking awesome. I've been wanting to see them for a few years now. I got nice and shitty drunk as well. Getting shitty drunk was a blessing and a curse. The curse part is I ended up talking to my ex via txt message and she put me in a bad mood by her telling how great I am, but just can't date me. The blessing is I ended up talking to another ex via txt and she cheered me up a bit and put up with my drunkenness. I may have talked her into a future date as well. I'll just have to see how that plays out though and not get my hopes up.

This weekend is the Adel Sweet Corn Fest. I love free corn on the cob. I waiting for a friend and my sister to show up so we can head out there now.

Other than looking forward to losing my job this week is Shooter Jennings is playing the state fair. If you don't know who he is, he's Waylon Jenning son. He sounds a lot like southern rock and a bit of country mixed in as well. It's good stuff. Well thats it for now.
