So it's Mothers Day. My sister and I went out and got our mom an ipod that she wanted. I'm just worried it's going to frustrate her because she not very tech savvy. Oh well!
We plan on taking her out to lunch today at a friend of mines restaurant that he's working in as a Su Chief. It should be a good times.
Last night I went to a local bar called the House of Bricks and saw a friends band play. They just got signed toa national label. You should check them out, they're called On a Pale Horse. It was a good show. I also got to see a lot of my friends StubS and his old lady Kirby as well as Age and Lady.
Who I hadn't seen since NYE at the Dum Fux show. I spent too much money trying to catch a buzz drinking that I should of just stopped and cut my losses.
I can't wait to go to Chicago later this month to see Mike Ness perform on the 20th. It's his solo stuff, so it will be a bunch of country and blue grass. This show is going to kick so much ass.
After the show I'm suppose to meet up with Cyberiouse and grab a bite to eat before the long trip back to the DMI. But road trip aren't any fun with out long periods of no sleep. LOL!
I've gotten a bunch more of Henry Rollins spoken words albums in the last two weeks. While listening to them, I came across a story that he told about being in Japan and that involved words. Long story short, in the bathroom of his hotel there was this little metal sign if you will. Now on this sign were the words 'Be Drinkable'. As soon as I heard Hank talk about those words I knew I liked them as well. So he goes on and talks about how he thought it sounded like just a cool way to say "be cool" or "be mellow" in like just intense situations. And I really liked that and have decided to adopt it as a new saying. I don't remember which one it was off of but when I do I'll post it. Also check out his spoken word albums Get In The Van about his touring with Black Flag and Think Tank. On Think Tank check out the story about Marius. It's very intense but just one of those awesome stories that you hear and are like WOW.
So be drinkable and take care of your moms today. You only got one.
