OKay, my internal clock is totally thrown off because it's Monday, but i'm not at work. I woke up this morning around 8:30 in a panic that I was late. Almost threw myself out of my bed before I realized that I had the day off.

Not to think about work on this fine work free Monday, but I realized the other day that ive...

lol I like your profile picture. That's how I felt when I woke up this morning.

One day I woke up and realised that I'd been at McDonalds for over three years.
That night, I wrote my letter of resignation on my break and handed it in.
Red Bull is the drink of the Gods. I find that it's the only thing that actually quenches my thirst. I can drink 10 glasses of water or one can of Red Bull.

Going out tonight, my friends. Ross and some of his college friends are going to some nice upscale bar/cigar room kinda place, meaning i'm going to be totally out of my element. I'll enjoy it though, because I'll be with Ross..wont be able to drink to much, though, because Andrew will be there, and he hates it when I drink.

To make the night VERY...

I'm assuming that's a good thing.

Hmm, see, I think Winston's choice wasn't as binary as it seems. Yes, if they were psycho hillbillies, the parallel with Deliverance would be impossible to deny. But by making them a deformed psychotic family, the parallel seems to be closer to Texas Chainsaw Masacare. The woodsmen needn't be psychotic or monsterous at all. In fact, there've been urban legends that the isolated people of Smokey Mountains speak Cockney English. It'd be kinda interesting if the villains were somehow more civilized out in the woods than the heroes.

But I'm probably wanting the film to be something it's not, or at least have ambitions that the filmakers didn't. It'll still probably be very good.

Wasn't Michael Myers always the supernatural boogeyman? I mean, the first film ended that way. Never quite as bad as Jason Vorhees, but still. Bates, though, yes, was the king.

Just watched Darkness Falls.

Pretty good flick, i'm such a sucker for horror movies. Ive alwasy really dug the concept of an "urban legend" coming to life. I think that's why I liked Candyman so much, it got into the whole mythos of what stories and legends mean to us. Actually, now that I think about Wes Craven's New Nightmare also was fantastic at addressing...

Wes Craven's New Nightmare was perhaps the best metafictional film Hollywood has yet produced. I still have trouble believing that he was allowed to make that film way back in '94, and that it was accepted reasonably well by the audience. If the academy weren't such snobs who always snub genre films, Craven might've had a shot as best screenplay for that.

The thing about Wrong Turn that I still can't understand the point of is the "hideously deformed through generations of inbreeding" bit. Knowing that the director is a god among makeup artists kinda explains it, but it just seems like a cheap device to dehumanize the woodsmen. It'd be a much more ambitious film if it actually tried to make the woodsmen actual characters instead of boogey men. But I should probably hold criticisms until I actually, you know, see it.

And, of course, anything with Eliza is worth seeing. And lovely Emma. Ah, Joss sure could pick 'em.

Hmm, yes, same friend. Honestly. When women say they'd love to know a guy who loves to eat pussy, they're lying. They mean they want a guy who doesn't mind eating pussy when asked.

Anya was my favorite Buffy character, so maybe the rabbit comment was appropriate.

So i'm home. Another day at work finished, another night ahead of me. I took Friday off, so I get a three day weekend (woohoo!!), which is great, because I know Andrew is going to want to do some location scouting for the upcoming film, and probably shoot some test footage. I'm excited to start on the next project because I love working with him...

do you really trust people who have deep thoughts on a porn site?

i dont.

what movie?
rickroyal:
"In the room the women come and go, talking and Michelangelo," eh? Everyone has those feelings of not having anything important to say. I've found you interesting, if that helps.

Goblin makeup, huh. Care to share what that's for?

Ah..first glass of wine after a long day. Youve got to love it. It's one of those simple pleasures in life that we overlook. Those are the important things to remember and appreciate. A cold shower after busting your ass working outside in the heat...the happy first breath you take on Friday, knowing youve got a weekend ahead of you...and my personal favorite, the moment...

agreed on all accounts. Hey I acctually saw Matrix: Reloaded. Not sure if I thought it was good or bad, as there was a lot of both in that movie.

but walking out of the theatre with the rage against the machine music playing and knowing every word to that song that made me feel pretty cool.

I'm drunk, working on 3 hours of sleep, depressed and the woman im' in love with told me today she does not think of me romantically at all.

I'm going to bed.

That's what you call getting a slice of the old dick pie. Sorry to hear it, man.

Does the hardboiled egg thing really work? I'm probably going to be getting filling and probably caps, so anything to ease the healing would be appreciated.

Aahh..how nice. Home from work, first sip of wine. That warmth passing through my weary veins. Nap now till 9 or 10ish, and then do what has to be done.

Fun times.
