My lab is open 35 more days. As it looks right now, Ill be working 30 of those days. The money will be good but it doesnt leave me much time to find another job. So far the hunt has turned up a big zero in job prospects.

I was just talking to my sister; she told me my brother in law is losing his job in a week or so. Hes worked in the same plant for 21 years. His severance package for all those years, 3 weeks of pay. But theres a catch, he only gets paid those 3 weeks as long as he doesnt have another job. So if he gets a job a week after being let go, the company doesnt have to pay him the other 2 weeks worth. 21 years at the same job. A lot of you reading this are barely older than that. Can you imagine working at one place for that long?

I know about 7 or 8 friends who are unemployed at the moment. I blame that dip shit in Washington. Businesses are going under left and right but at least hes protected us from people boarding airplanes with tweezers. Thank Christ.

So Im not going to be around too much for a while. After I get laid off, it looks like Im going to have all the time in the world.

Im tired, Im hungry and I missed that killer locus movie last night.
