Im at a movie theater the other night when I over hear a conversation between a guy and a girl sitting behind me. The guy is telling her how cool flying squirrels are because they can glide in the air for over 240 feet. To which the girl replies, Wow, thats like over a half a mile.

They werent kids. They were both in their late 20s at least. So by her ciphering, a mile is 480 feet. How can people be so ignorant?

There are a lot of things I dont know. Im not saying Im the sharpest bulb in the knife drawer, but come on.
