According to an impartial observer who was watching for voter fraud, Im whats wrong with this country.

This morning I got up and went to vote. I went to the wrong place, so my name was not listed for that voting district. The women at the table checking off people as they came in asked me to step over and talk to another women. So I go over to another line and wait for this other women to look me up in the computer, no big deal. The last election I voted in there was some mix up as to what district I needed to vote in.

As I waiting for my turn, this guy who was hanging around and watching all of us in this line walks over and stands right next to the women doing the checking on the computer. When I get to the head of the line I hand the women my slip of paper with my name and address on it. This guy then steps right up next to me; his arm is touching my arm, thats how close he was. He them ask what the problem is.

Now everyone working there had on a red white and blue nametag with their name on it. I was voting in a church and the majority of the volunteers were older women mostly named Betty and Doris. This guy didnt have a nametag on.

I said excuse me, who are you? He told me that he was there to prevent voter fraud and implied that I was doing something wrong. I then told him that he needed to step back and that this was between me and a real election official. He then demanded to see my voter registration card. I replied that I didnt have to show him a Goddamn thing.

I asked to speak with the person in charge, and told her that this man has no right to view my personal information and that I resented his implication that I was doing anything wrong. She apologized, the man was asked to leave and not return. I got the impression that he had been doing this all morning to people.

I was in the wrong place. So I left to go to the right place so I could vote.

As Im walking out to my car I walk past the guy. He said something, but I didnt hear what it was. I stopped and asked what he said. He then goes off on me. The highlights being, what he was doing was the right thing to do, to prevent people like me from cheating the system. People like me are whats wrong with this country & Im un-American for not supporting the President.

I then told him that its people like him who have made a mockery of this election by trying to intimidate people. And that not thats any of his business, but I was just at the wrong place.

It disgusts me how these people are acting and then justifying it by claming to be good Americans.

When I got to the right place I waited in line for 40 minutes or so before I could vote. I didnt mind waiting. There was 60 or 70 people in line when I got there and almost half of them were under 25. I think that rocks.

Wow. Yea, if anyone at the polls is not a poll worker, they have no business saying a damn thing to you and you don't have to talk to them. Way to go. smile
