So, I decided that I was going to go to Kira's party after all. I needed some company and it seemed like everyone was going to be there. I still had to work on Sunday but I figured I would just drive up and cut out early come home and load up on caffeine to get me through the day.

Saturday I was getting some things done around the place that have been getting put off. Around 1pm my pager goes off. On a normal day my pager goes off once a day at 9 am giving me the weather update for Fort Worth TX. Long story.

Any other time it goes off it usually means my boss is looking for me. I get a txt telling me there is no one running my lab, whats going on. I call my boss and she tells me that the girl who is scheduled to work called in sick. I check my messages and she did leave a message for me saying she was sick. The call came in ten minutes after she should have been at the store.

Here's the part that pissed me off. On Thursday she wanted to get Saturday off because she was going to a party in Detroit Friday night. Her message says she cant come in to work because she is throwing up and doesnt feel well. Sounds like too much to drink to me. I told her I had plans and that she had to work her shift. If she had said something sooner I might have been able to get someone else.

So Saturday I have to go in and open my lab almost 4 hours late. The store is pissed, my boss is pissed and I have to stay until everything is done. By the time I got out I was in such a foul mood I though it best not to visit upon Kiras party.

So I stayed home alone and watched a crappy movie called The Last Minute.

Maybe this girl really was sick. But it seemed to work out to her advantage to be sick. She works again on Tuesday, were going to have a little talk.

This was the reason for the faces
