The two-week truce between my boss and I has ended. Open hostilities shall resume next Tuesday with another call to H.R.
I found out today that my boss is denying the temporary assignment pay to the women she had working as the onsite boss for a store. Heres the deal. In December my boss asked me to oversee a second store. She didnt really ask so much as tell me. At the same time she took another employee from a different store and had her cover the hours that the former manager had. She was working as my assistant manager, without the title behind her name.
My boss is saying that I didnt have the authority to give this woman the responsibilities of an assistant manager. She shouldnt have been doing the schedules, inventory, ordering and whatever. I was pawning my responsibility off on this woman.
My boss knew what was going on. Not only did I tell her I was assigning this women this work, she talked to this women many times a week about doing schedules, inventory, ordering and whatever. She is now telling a bold face lie to try and cover up that the company owes this other women over a grand in back pay.
Im not going to let this stand. Shes trying to cover me in shit so she can smell like a rose. (camera zooms in close on my face) Thats not going to happen.
When I told the person who took over for me that I got the back pay, she waited to see if my boss would give it to her as well. I told her not to hold her breath. She got her check, no back pay. When she asked my boss why she didnt get paid like I did for her work, my boss told her, Oh, I didnt think you would want it.
The other manager and my boss are now fighting. She told our boss that she (the boss) needs to start doing her job. The boss didnt like that.

I came 87.4% close to asking my favorite customer out today. We talked for 10 or 15 minutes when she dropped of her film. She was bringing stuff up to extend our conversation. When she went into the store to shop I decided that I would ask her. She always stops by to say goodbye when shes in the store even when she doesnt have film.
Im waiting for her to come back, and as she is getting in line a customer comes up to my counter. Im trying to rush this person; I need to lose her so I can talk to the women. Could I get her to leave? No. When the women I wanted to ask out got out of line she saw that I was with someone and smiled and waved from the door and left. I think she wanted to come back over. After she waved she stopped of a second and looked over at me. It felt like a moment. She knows Im not working this weekend; lets see if she waits until Monday to come back for her film.
Its weird; she is the first mom Ive ever been attracted to. Attracted and actually wanted to go out with. She has a year old daughter. I hope she comes back on Monday. And I hope I can work up the nerve to ask her out.
