I'm very upset right now.

Tonight my mom and I were fiddling around with our house's server, when we noticed that a hard drive wasn't showing up in the configuration. Naturally, we started using our I.T. skills to troubleshoot the problem. We asked my stepdad what the problem might be, so he responds with some small little answer that we didn't really understand. He was busy talking on his phone, so we took out the hard drive and tried putting in a jumper to help the system detect it. Once my stepdad found out, he got pissed.

I felt a rage towards him and his words tonight that I haven't felt in a long, long time.

This was supposed to be my mother's project, but I guess he had everything planned out to work a different way than we had both anticipated. In a nutshell, he barked at the both of us and gave very shallow reflections of his abusive childhood in the process. They say that arguements and times of strife strengthen bonds, blah blah blah. In this case, I only see them as setbacks. This was one unneccessary setback, that's for sure.
