So it's my first real mountain bike race tomorrow and I'm somewhat terrified. I still consider myself somewhat of a beginner rider with not a lot of confidence and this race is fairly intense. 37km, over 1600m of climbing. Yikes! What have I gotten myself into? My goal is to just finish the race without massively injuring myself. I've ridden the course and I know there are parts I'm going to have to get off my bike and walk around, and I guess that's ok. I get stressed out when people are watching me do things so I'm hoping there aren't too many spectators. Ah!
