So being a unemployed yahoo, I have been watching movies on my computer via netflix.
Tonight I watched the movie National Lampoon's "Pucked", like many National Lampoon's classics this movie is not great. Although its 2 starts are worth every glimmer. Jon Bon Jovi stars as, Frank, an unemployed yahoo who is always looking for the next big idea, in this case its the "World Wide Women's Hockey League". Being unemployed Frank has no money, so he begins using credit cards to finance his dream with the help of friends played by Estella Warren, David Faustino, and Pat Kilbane. Well just as everything seems to be going well the credit card companies step in and call fraud on Frank. Then Frank is in a head to head court battle with Cary Elwes, as the ADA, with a blond fro and a scary voice to determine if he is a criminal or a visionary promoter.
This movie is moderately funny but doubles as a commentary on credit, banks and debt. It also brings up thoughts of roller derby and their struggle to start up a new sport in America. I say check it out its worth the one hour 20 minutes of fun, and like all National Lampoon's movies this is especially true if you are high.
