Went to a funeral today. My first cousin's grandmother. Beth and I are more like sisters than cousins and I use to spend a lot of time with her at her grandparent's. Nanny made the best strawberry jam. She use to give me a jar for my birthday every year until she could no longer make it. She was 84 and not in good health so it was not unexpected...but still sad.
It was a roman catholic funeral so there was incense...I hate incense, by the end I had a pounding headache. It was a nice ceremony I guess.
I want a wake not a funeral. Lots of food, drinking and family and friends. No church service.

And yes you can move in with me.. although other side of the country just for a dishwasher is a bit extreme
I'd want no service also. It'd be cool to be buried somewhere obscure. Or have my ashes thrown to the wind.
