PUP'S FIRST CAMP
My daughter and I took Merlin on his first camping trip last week, to the Gower peninsula in South Wales.
This was the view from our tent door.....
It was a steep but short walk down to the beach and, when the tide had gone out a little, we crossed the river on stepping stones, or just waded across. Merlin loved running in the river, playing with other dogs. He was a little less sure of the sea!
The water was surprisingly warm for Britain, and you could have swum in there for hours....a perfect beach for dogs and children, and hardly anyone on it....
Needless to say, this paddling and digging in the sand was all too much excitment for a small puppy...
...and he slept soundly throughout the night, snoring little puppy snores.
He has not been well today, bless him. I won't go into details, but let's say today's clean up was......challenging! But he's looking a bit perkier after a little walk, and dozing his lunch off.

p.p.s. I just want to add...Merlin is sprawled in the hall like some manky old rug. He just yawned, stretched and farted loudly. You can tell he's male.

still getting through the box set, i'm really loving it i have to say, i dont watch television anymore, havent done for six months now, and actually, i don't miss it, so its a nice way to wind down by watching a dvd instead. i agree, i really liked aiden over big, but, horses for courses...
hope merlins tum is better? the odd time rocky ever does such things, i dont even aknowledge any problem, i have to pretend nothing is there on the floor, as he is by this stage, absolutely mortified for having an accident, so he is feeling very embarrased, the things we do...
