Right - last post far too self-absorbed and downbeat. NurseEvy and Badluck Brent have put me in a sentimental Eighties mood.
I wish I had a photo of me from 84/85, with long post-New Romantic hair, black eyeliner, diamante earring, long black coat and leather boots.
However, I have been rummaging through Youtube and come up with some ancient gems:
A wonderful track from The Jazz Butcher: Girl Go
A very moody House of Love video of Christine:
And my all-time favourite band, the Blue Aeroplanes with Jacket Hangs. I saw them at least five times; they were stunning live, especially the night in 1990 at Hammersmith Odeon, when they were supporting REM, and got them and some friends out for a stunning twelve guitar finale of Breaking in my Heart (sigh)....this song has arguably the greatest riff ever:
Hope some of you enjoy this little trip down Memory Lane. It brightened me up no end!

REM yes I did love REM too. I lived next door to a guy who went to school with Michael at U Georgia, their lyrics are truly incredible.
