Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones present a solution to the global economic crisis

It's old, but appropriate.

HOORAY FOR THE BIRTHDAY BEAVER!

You ever said something in all innocence that you later come to regret? If any men are reading this, and you aren't nodding, you are only deluding yourself, believe me. Fact is, guys, I bet we all say at least one thing a day where, as soon as the words leave our mouth, we think 'Oops'.

Anyway, this is one...

I really like cloudy days, fog, rain....you know....I'm not the kind of girl for Spain weather....
but, anyways, in the north of Spain we have an amazing mountains, with really great snow.
I'd really want to visit the north on UK, specially Scotland, and I'm working hard for gane the money!!

xoxo
grayb:
What a sweet story smile I think it's great!

Happy, happy, happy birthday to your daughter!

I'm a bit troubled, though... What's all this about Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny not existing? I must not have gotten the memo biggrin

In the early Fifties.....

...when Churchill was in his final term as British Prime Minister, his sleep was disturbed one night by one of his aides. With a look of panic on his face, he nervously informed Churchill that one of his government ministers had been found in one of London's parks in the early hours, being buggered senseless by a Grenadier guardsman.
Raising himself...

Birthday Assembly!

This morning we went to school to see all the girls and boys whose birthday falls this month (including our daughters) talk to their classmates about their favourite piece of work, and what they will do/did for their birthday.

I'm a real softie for things like this, and I feel quite emotional when the Head is telling all the children about how they...

Yes but the local bands are NOT! wink hahahah

That's really nice. I guess that's something that I have to look forward to when my daughter gets older. Not necessarily that event...but the heartfelt emotions.

Having productive meetings are always good...but you're right...for some reason it wears off...and quickly I might add. Is your company involved with healthcare at all...as it deals with IT that is?

In response to Nurse Evy's kind request for some photos of our garden, here's a few pics I've taken over the past couple of years. None from this year as yet, although I've taken a couple but just not uploaded them. There's a woodland area at the bottom of our north facing garden slope, and the small wildlife pond sits just above that. A pile...

'So how was your weekend?' I hear you cry. Well.

It all started on Wednesday (yes, I know. Bear with me). I popped over the road to our friend and neighbour as Daughter wanted to play with the neigbour's daughter. T answered the door in a spangly mauve satin dress. I said 'Love the dress' and she said 'Yes it's for when we all go...

"p.s. love Monet too. I was blown away as a teen in Paris by the huge waterlily canvases in the Orangerie."

and i am officially 100 percent JEALOUS!!!!!! hahahahaha One day I will make it there. Its my ultimate dream to go to the Louvre. Although when ya live on disability and have surgery every other month... the chances of ever getting there are slim to none. I would SO pack up and just live on the streets there if I could go to that damn museum once a week. lol

Yes that is just a random kilt I have actually not my real tartan, I do have Air Force tartan, USA Tartan and another one I can't remember. SO I have a ton of kilts here. haha.

Right, as NurseEvy has perceptively pointed out, now we know that pictures of puppies brings lots of beautiful women to my blog, I am going to completely blot my copybook now and talk about football. Even worse, not the be-helmeted kind, but the type you US folk refer to as soccer, so most of you will have no frame of reference whatsoever. I make no...

Um....I'm just writing this for the sake of writing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of any interest has happened since my last entry. Which is okay, actually. Life just goes on. Work might be crap, but everything else is pretty okay.

Sorry there are no dramatic emotional swings or dramas. If it helps, I got a pleasant satisfaction from finishing the rock garden, and planting it out with...

HILLSBOROUGH REMEMBERED

20 years on, I just wanted to say how touching the tributes were at Anfield today. For those of you who live outside the UK, 20 years ago, 96 Liverpool football supporters died in tragic circumstances at Sheffield Wednesday's ground, when massive overcrowding and misdirection led to their deaths. Among the dead were many children.
The minute's silence was perfectly observed today, and...

I'm glad I'm not just being a "girl" about this. I know he's attracted to me, but it would be nice to hear him say it once in a while, even if actions speak louder than words. Heh.

Thanks about that too! I just got on my Wii Fit (hehehe, love it) and according to it, I'm down about 35 from my highest and about 27 from my first weigh-in at Weight Watchers. Made my day a little better. =)

THE BEST DANCE ROUTINE. BAR NONE.

Ho for the Hols!

Finally....a break from work for a few days. No more trying to justify the unjustifiable, for a few days. No more trying to ring a US colleague, only to find they got told to clear their desk, for a few days. No more trying to cope with multi-million dollar forecasts, for a few days. Just...

AN AFFAIR WITH ROY ORBISON

You know, I realise in part it's an age and family thing. While loads of young SG members are getting stoked up and having a great Fri/Sat night, we have to think about babysitters, get all the pressures of the week out of our heads, tidy the house, etc. So we often end up crashed out in front of the...
