So I have a new girlfriend.

Alas, she smokes and drinks more than me. That's about the only thing I dislike about her.

But seriously - there is more to life than having a girlfriend. It's not the be all and end all of things, You don't have to have one if you don't want one. It's not a bad thing being single. You have friends, and other people to spend time with. So that may mean you are alone, but you will never be lonely.

However, I will be the first to admit this - I am biased. I'd rather spend time on my own having fun etc etc - than be forced to spend it wit some arsehole who I I have grown to hate and call my boyfriend. I also would rather wait for someone that I really like - than just end up with someone I 'sort of kinda like, and maybe they will grow on me and that way i won't be alone'. This probably means I will be the crazy cat lady out of the Simpsons when I'm 90. But I plan to have a lot of fun getting there.

But if you do like her a lot, and she makes you happy, and you enjoy spending time with her - then I'm pleased for you. Smoking is ick - but you can look past it if you like them. I'm sure you have some bad habits too. xx
