Didn't get much done today, but did have dinner at rh1an5's, which is always nice.
I've been catching up on my Studio Ghibli anime lately.
Some time last week I watched Mimi wo sumaseba (aka Whisper Of The Heart), and it's a really sweet story. I'm a sucker for these sorts of stories.
Hilariously, though, it centres around the girl writing new Japanese lyrics to the song "Take Me Home, Country Road" -- and the girls pronouncing "country road" with a thick Japanese accent when they sing it, despite the rest being in Japanese, is side-splitting and rather corny.
Anyway, I watched another Ghibli film last night: Umi ga kikoeru (aka I Can Hear The Sea or The Ocean Waves). Equally sweet.
As I said: me = sucker for this kind of thing.
And tonight I think I'll watch Neko no ongaeshi (aka The Cat Returns). It's supposed to follow on from Whisper Of The Heart in a way, but with more cats. It might be okay. We'll see. Not too sure about this one, but the animation looks good.
Interestingly, I don't know many of you lovelies who are really into this sort of thing. Otherwise I'd be jumpin' up and down about some sort of weekly anime night.
Any closet anime fans wanna watch DVDs, drink some miso and eat Pocky?
In other news: gonna go op shopping with leothedriver and reshizzle tomorrow. Gotta figure out people's Xmas presents somehow.....

Hey when is Ghibli releasing a new movie? Too few and far between if you ask me!
