Had a crazy ass dream about being the doctors companion this morning.
We were on a war ravaged planet with a rare element that can only be nullified by being plated between iron...kicker is the planet has almost no iron to speak of.
we wrap the element as best as we can and keep it dry..i keep it on my person during the adventure. one of the plates keeping it safe had cracked and was creating deadly fallout anytime it rained.
so within the first few minutes after the doctor and I arrive, we're ambushed by an unknown assailant. as I awake I see the doctor has regenerated back to his tenth form, not paying attention we strive on, after a long struggle to find the iron ore we need an impossible decision has to be made...
a child being held captive is being threatened with death if we do not return the iron ore, only the doctor says who cares and motions me to leave, that's when i realize the true doctor would never let a child die and I release the element towards him instantly degrading his camouflage skin shell.
the radiation ends up vaporizing it to the point where only a small device lays on the ground. I wrap up the element without touching it with my bare hands and retrieve the device, somehow knowing this will lead me to the real doctor. but another catch is now the device is highly radioactive and I have very little time to find him before I die of poisoning.
finally tracking the real doctor down I find him cocooned in the rafters of an old rotting barn
pressing a button on the poisoned device hes lowered and this silver ooze leaks out of him and he awakens. he says he realizes im dying and that only the tardis can save me, it will take a while but since I have time travelled and been within the time stream the tardis will help me regenerate a little.
we walk towards his phone booth smiling and exhausted...and I awake.
